The Hinged Patella Stabilizer with "J" Buttress (K17-PC) is primarily designed to provide support and stability for individuals with patellofemoral (kneecap joint) disorders, kneecap subluxations, or kneecap dislocations. It is also indicated for use in mild medial and lateral collateral ligament instability or mild anterior and posterior cruciate ligament instability.

BENEFITS: 

This brace features a 1/4” enclosed tubular “J” buttress which provides additional support to and around the kneecap. The patellar pull panel with adjustable straps further secures and stabilizes the kneecap in place. The opening in the front of the knee is designed for positioning and comfort. The circumferential straps around the thigh and calf provide a secure and individualized fit. The polycentric aluminum hinges enclosed in neoprene pockets allow for range of motion control. Special cordura stress covers are located over the center, proximal, and distal hinges to provide added durability. 

The Hinged Patella Stabilizer with "J" Buttress is available in a 1/8" latex-free neoprene option only. The neoprene design provides both warmth and compression to the knee.

Almost perfect, and definitely far better than its competition

Even prior to purchasing this brace from New Options Sports directly from their website, Lydia on their Customer Service team was instrumental in helping me. I wrote their team with very specific criteria and Lydia was quick to return my message with extraordinarily helpful insight. New Options Sports recommended this brace for my use case. Having used it for almost two weeks now, I can attest to it being exactly as advertised. The high quality, made in America, and attention to detail were three requirements I had and they were able to answer the call. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because it seems there would be greater benefit to have a cutout area behind the knee, so the material wouldn't gather as much and restrict range of motion. Otherwise, there isn't anything else I would change. I'm grateful to have discovered New Options and will absolutely check into their other products if/when the need arises.
